After the Second World War NSU has brought his two-wheeler production to number 1 in the world. The CB 92 with 11 kW (15 hp) and later CB 72 to 18 kW (24 hp) are the first two pioneers of a new era. Not for long and the somewhat honest German technology will get serious competition by delicate, yet equally durable technology from Japan. At the end the motorcycle manufacturers from the Far East will dominate the market and by the German producers will remain - with significant quantities - only BMW.
